Since 1997, People Management, Inc. (PMI), a professional employer organization, has provided an all-in-one solution for helping small to midsize companies manage their business and employees. How it Works

As a professional employer organization, PMI becomes the employer of record for payroll, payroll tax and employment insurance purposes. We file all necessary paperwork under our own identification numbers (there is an exception in the state of PA) while our clients continue to direct their employees’ daily activities. Utilizing an economies-of-scale model to aggregately pool all our clients’ employees as our own, we’re able to negotiate and implement economically favorable employee benefits strategies.

Our clients benefit by ending up with a comprehensive plan that could include dental insurance, vision coverage, a retirement savings plan, credit union membership and more. This type of plan can provide much more than the typical "bare bones" plan a small company could get on its own. Since our clients are able to offer their employees better overall benefits packages, they are able to attract more skilled employees and retain them for longer periods of time.
